23rd ANNUAL KYU GRADES KARATE CHAMPIONSHIP

Three members of the LSKC made the Journey down to Prestatyn to the Kyu grade championships. They competition was well attended, all three competitors equipped themselves very well, managing win a few rounds in the kata event and nearly reaching the finals.

The club on the whole faired much better in the individual kumite, first we saw Matthew Humphries fighting his way to the semi-finals, although he was beaten, he showed good promise for the future.

Taaj Sian entering only his second competition also fought very well, he too was beaten in his semi-finals. Both competitors picked up third place trophies.
Afshin Sadechian worked hard and will be looking forward to his next event.
