It all started over 50 years ago with learning traditional martial arts known as Shotokan Karate and working together to create a centre of excellence, a centre of health and wellbeing and a Seishin (spirit).

Leeds Shotokan Karate Club is the home of Shotokan Karate in Leeds.
All Ego is left at the door to make space for excellent teaching, training and performances.

Traditional Shotokan Karate club for all ages above 7 years and skill levels.
Leeds Shotokan Karate club provides quality training for beginners to black belts.

SHOTOKAN KARATE
Karate may be defined as a weaponless means of self-defence. It consists of dynamic offensive and defensive techniques using all parts of the body to their maximum advantage.

Leeds Shotokan Karate Club has a new large 15m x 6m dedicated matted area for its Shotokan Karate. This enables us to provide the perfect training area for Shotokan Karate.
