KUGB Grand Slam Championships: 22nd July 2017
Congratulations to all the Leeds Shotokan members who represented the KUGB England squad at the Grand Slam competition on Saturday. Excellent performances from everyone especially those who made it onto the podium.
Gold - Ethan Armstrong - Junior Male Kumite
Silver - Sensei Ryan Tucker - Senior Male Kumite
Bronze - Remigijus Jurgilaitis - Senior Male Kumite
Bronze - James Humphries - Junior Male Kumite
Bronze - Nathan Brady - Cadet Male Kumite
Sensei Ryan Tucker also fought in the KUGB Senior England team who took Gold, with Ethan Armstrong and James Humphries both fighting in the KUGB Junior England team who also won the gold medals.

Another fantastic weekend of results for the Leeds Shotokan Karate Club members who represented their club at the Individual competition known as the KUGB (Karate Union of Great Britain) Shotokan Cup at the Queen's Park Sports Centre in Chesterfield. Leeds Shotokan members showed great spirit and determination and were rewarded with their efforts.
The results as followed:
Ethan Armstrong - Gold - 1st Place Junior Male 18 - 20 Years Individual Kumite
Ryan Tucker - Silver - 2nd Place - Senior Male Individual Kumite
There were some strong performances and tough draws from all the students that went to the competition.
